Inkublog is the Official Blog of Inkubook. It is a resource that complements the photo book building tools at Inkubook (much like the right pair of shoes complements an outfit) and will provide tips, tricks, and expert advice that will empower people to build drop-dead gorgeous Inkubooks.
An Inku-what?
We imagine that’s what a lot of you are wondering. Well, it’s not some sort it some sort of specialty writing utensil, nor is it of rare strain of rash. It’s actually a very cool, cutting-edge way to make drop-dead gorgeous photo books, and we’d like to introduce you to it.
First, do you have a computer? And how about an Internet connection? We’re assuming you do because you’re reading this, but it never hurts to cover the basics.
One more thing: How about some digital photos and maybe some ideas you could put into words? Super. Now the only other things you need are a little inspiration and a mechanism to help you put all this stuff together.
See, we realized that photos have a tendency to get stuck in the camera, the phone, the PDA, and the computer, and we thought it’d be a good idea to have a convenient, online way to get those pixelized photos off the memory card and into something tangible.
So we created Inkubook, which is just the tool you need to capture your memories and ideas in a drop-dead gorgeous book. Inkubook includes easy-to-use templates and themes. All you need to do is decide what you want to put on each page.
What Makes Us Special? Collaboration
There are lots of things about Inkubook that make it extra special, but our favorite is that is super easy to collaborate with other people on creating a photo book. Because Inkubook works online rather than on your computer desktop, you can easily recruit other people to help you.
Let’s say you’re thinking of making a book about this year’s family reunion. You weren’t the only person there taking pictures, right? Simply invite the rest of your clan to add some photos and text to your book and you’ll end up with something that is truly representative of all your family and will be cherished for years to come.
Here’s another example of how the collaborative tools in Inkubook can come in handy. If you’re planning a wedding or some other kind of reception, bring the idea of the disposable-camera-on-the-table into the 21st century. Instead of providing those cardboard cameras for everyone to use, invite your guests to use their own digital cameras and then upload the images to your Inkubook project. Then you can make a book (or books, just in case you need multiple versions so Mom doesn’t see those pictures that your best friend from high school took) for yourself and everyone who contributed to it.
If you’d like to have more details about how Inkubook works, visit the Learn More area, and please check our blog often because we’ll be highlighting other interesting features of Inkubook and offering inspiring ideas for how you can use it in upcoming posts.
